Liverpool

Liverpool have an exciting striker who could follow in his father’s footsteps during Jurgen Klopp’s run.

At the turn of the century, Liverpool’s youth academy had a golden handful of strikers. Not only was Liverpool’s Robbie Fowler a ‘god’, but Michael Owen was the only Liverpool player to win the Ballon d’Or.

The pair appeared to open the floodgates for eager Merseyside scouts looking for the next Fowler and Owen. However, in the last 20 years, this source has become somewhat dry. Liverpool’s success with academy strikers has been disappointing recently. The club lacks talented young strikers. From Hungarian Christian Nemeth to “mini Fernando Torres” Adam Morgan, Raheem Sterling, Connor Coady and Suso scored many goals for the team.

He was followed by Jerome Sinclair, the youngest player ever to play for the club, and Ben Woodburn, the youngest player to score for Liverpool’s first team. Rian Brewster was still a promising prospect after becoming the top scorer at the U17 World Cup. To varying degrees, Jurgen Klopp has given them every opportunity. However, despite the promise shown by the aforementioned players, they all broke the mold and failed to live up to the potential many expected.

Their record has made the forward position a “ghost” position in the academy. But now there is one player who is determined to change that. Jaden Dunnes has been an absolute revelation for Liverpool. He has scored in every competitive match he has played so far for the club’s U18 side.Danns has scored nine goals and two assists in seven league games so far and four goals in three games in the U18 Premier League Cup. Made his senior debut in the EFL Trophy in the last minute against Morecambe.

A big forward who is keen to get involved in training, Danns has a keen eye for goal and is versatile. . Last season he frequently played as a winger for the club’s U18 team and can play very well on both flanks. Jayden, son of professional footballer Neil Dunnes, who played for Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Bolton Wanderers and captained Guyana in the national team, is hoping to follow in his father’s footsteps. At Liverpool he has all the tools to go far.

Physically he is very capable. He has the brains and technical skills that make him an interesting candidate. If he continues at this rate, there could be a first-team opportunity for him as well. Klopp recently allowed Dunnes’ team-mate Trey Nioni to train with the first team and even gave him a place on the bench against Brentford in the Premier League.

He is a manager known for cultivating young talents. The Danes are therefore in a good position and could soon receive the same opportunity from Klopp, especially with League Cup and FA Cup games scheduled in the coming months. There’s no need to pin too much hope on the youngster’s shoulders, but the early signs are interesting.
