Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder James Maddison has named Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold as one of the three best free-kick takers in the Premier League.
Interestingly, all three of his choices are in English, which shows how lucky the recipient of the Three Lions figurine is. Set-piece specialist Maddison named Kieran Tripper and James Ward-Prowse along with Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold. The former Leicester City star said all three hit the ball at pace. James Maddison has also named Manchester City superstar Kevin De Bruyne as a free-kick taker with a completely different skill set. As quoted by TBR Football, Maddison said:”It’s too fast.
Speed is important. What do you look for when you look at the best players in the Premier League? “For me, Trippier, Trent, Ward-Prowse and De Bruyne hit the ball differently, but those three are my favorites and they all hit the ball with such speed.” Trent Alexander-Arnold made six free throws and Tripper scored nine. And Ward-Prowse took 17 free kicks and will probably go down as one of the best players in the history of the game.
