Liverpool are currently interested in Brazil and Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Moscardo, along with Chelsea and Barcelona.
Despite the most extensive midfield rebuild in the club’s history, they have been unable to find a good replacement for Fabinho.Despite the presence of Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenburch, manager Jurgen Klopp has opted for Alexis McAllister to play in a deeper midfield role. The Merseysiders have identified Fluminense star midfielder Andre Trindade as their main target of the winter transfer window.
However, a number of clubs have shown interest in the 22-year-old following his recent Copa Libertadores victory. High demand and high fees could leave the Anfield giants out of contention. Instead, they looked for a new contender to fill the midfield void.
The 18-year-old defensive midfielder has become a youth player for Corinthians. In 2023/24, he made his professional debut in the Brazilian Serie A. He has made 15 national championship appearances for the club to date. Despite being just 18, Moscardo has established himself in Corinthians’ senior squad and also represents Brazil’s Under-23 side.
