Liverpool are interested in signing Atalanta’s talented midfielder Tin Kupminus. But they face competition from Newcastle United, who have financial clout in exile.
According to reports from Tutto Atalanta, Atalanta are set to accept a £60million bid for the 25-year-old Dutch midfielder.Former Ajax and Napoli star Ruud Krol hailed Kupminus as the “perfect footballer” and his skills are exactly what Jurgen Klopp’s side need.
The German manager is looking for a defensive midfielder and Kupminus has been on Liverpool’s radar for some time.Kupminus has an excellent left foot and could improve Liverpool’s midfield balance, especially if they fail to secure the signing of Andre in January.
His stats show strong dribbling and he is highly regarded for his excellent ball control and technique. Koopmeiners could be a valuable alternative if Liverpool miss out on Andre, but his price tag could make it difficult for them to outbid Manchester United and Newcastle for his services.
