After Liverpool’s victory over Nottingham Forest at Anfield, Diogo Jota raised a shirt that belonged to Luis Diaz.
Diaz is not involved for the Reds due to the abduction of his parents in Colombia. Though it’s uncertain if Diaz’s father has been saved, his mother is now secure. When Jota completed a counterattack in the 31st minute, he broke the scoreless draw for Liverpool. Warm applause was heard when the Portuguese approached the home bench during the celebrations and picked up a Diaz No. 7 shirt, holding it high.
Shortly after, Kopites began chanting Diaz’s name in unison with Depeche Mode’s I Just Can’t Get Enough, just like they used to do for Luis Suarez.
