Nottingham Forest will present a “tricky” task, according to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
On Sunday, the Reds will host Forest.
According to Klopp, “We always say in Germany that the second year is harder than the first.” Steve Cooper has done an excellent job, and I sincerely hope that Divock Origi will be included in the squad—not for the game, but for the occasion.
“I hope Origi is well enough so that people can say hello to him; he most certainly deserves it.
Beyond that, it’s obvious that I don’t want him to have a good game. Aside from that, Cooper had a plethora of choices and chances to choose from.”
“It’s a really big squad, which is definitely a challenge to manage,” Klopp continued.
“I believe it’s evident from Nottingham Forest that they want to finish in the league and go up from there, and they are achieving just that in this really competitive Premier League right now.
“I am aware that it will be really difficult; the away game, particularly the one in which we lost, was a very trying day for us last year, but I give Nottingham credit for that.
Their greatest strength is that they would stay in the game no matter what happens, giving them the opportunity to score and punish you in the heat of the moment. I believe that day we were the better team, but you couldn’t see it on the scoresheet.
“We will be ready because it’s a tough one.”
