Darwin Nunez’s goal in the first half of Liverpool’s Europa League match against Toulouse was largely due to Ryan Gravenberch’s slaloming run, and the Uruguayan paid it forward later in the evening, though not in the way he had meant. It was the Uruguayan’s turn to burst forward with the ball on the 65th minute, taking advantage of the space in front of him and eluding a defender for what appeared to be an easy finish.
With the goal at his mercy, the 24-year-old amazingly struck the post, but fortunately, his Dutch colleague was there to head home the rebound when the ball landed sweetly for him in front of the Kop.
Gravenberch earned this goal for his outstanding performance that evening, even if it was finished by Nunez
