BBC pundit Garth Crooks paid tribute to the Newcastle defender’s passing ability after he was named in Kieran Trippier’s Team of the Week.

The specialist scored alongside Guglielmo Vicario. The Italian has impressed since becoming Tottenham’s No.1 player at the start of the season.Trippier is joined in defense by Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk (who helped keep a clean sheet in the Merseyside derby) and Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot (who scored in the team’s win against Sheffield United). Arsenal’s Declan Rice, Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz, Tottenham’s James Maddison and Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku make up the midfield four. For the forward line, Crooks chose Brentford’s Brian Mbomu, Liverpool’s Mo Salah and City’s Erling Haaland.
