Toulouse can now focus on the “divine experience” of their visit to Anfield after their final Ligue 1 game on Sunday afternoon.United kick off the third of six Europa League Group E games at Anfield on Thursday night when they visit the French side for the first time since 2007.
Toulouse finished 13th in Ligue 1 last season but qualified for Europe thanks to winning the French Cup last season.Coach Carles MartÃnez Nobel’s side are currently in 10th place, having won two, lost two of their first nine matches of 2023/24 and drawn five of their last eight.
The trip to Anfield is a big deal for a club that has not competed in European competition since 2009, but Nobel has refused to turn his players’ thoughts to Liverpool until their domestic issues are resolved. Marksman Dallinga has replaced Frank Magri up front, with the latter now his side’s top scorer with three goals in the first nine games of the season.
