Liverpool

Despite the injury setback for Liverpool, the manager is “not worried” about losing the left-back.

Despite Liverpool’s present left-back situation, Dundee boss Tony Docherty claims he is not concerned about the possibility of losing loanee Owen Beck.

With a number of players ahead of him at Anfield, Beck signed on for a season-long loan with the Scottish Premiership team back in the summer with the goal of earning vital experience.

Andy Robertson’s dislocated shoulder injury on international service has forced Jurgen Klopp to rely on his backups in that position, which means Beck might have been in line for more playing time had he stayed at the club for 2023/2024.

Docherty is “aware” of the situation at Liverpool, but he insists that he is “not worried” about the prospect of the 21-year-old returning to his original club.

The young player has had an impressive start to his time in Scotland, making 10 appearances for Dundee this season across all competitions.

Last month, he registered his first assist for the team, and due to his recent performance, his total number of Wales U21s appearances has risen to 13.

In discussing the left-back’s recent development, Docherty was all praise for him and stated that Dundee and Liverpool have had a “great relationship” ever since the loan agreement was made.
