The intense security measures in place to protect Liverpool star Mohamed Salah have been revealed by the player’s personal bodyguard. Some of the most recognizable football players, such as Roberto Carlos, Alessandro Del Piero, and Angel Di Maria, have collaborated with Karim Abdou.
The bodyguard, who formerly oversaw Egypt’s national team’s security, has identified Salah as his preferred teammate. Over the course of their nearly ten-year friendship, Abdou has watched Salah grow into one of the most well-known players in the world of football. Salah was followed to Italy by Abdou while he was at Roma. Additionally, Abdou has described a few of the precautions that were taken to keep the player safe.
In an interview with the 5ASide Podcast, he clarified, saying: “Every gift needs to be scanned. “We don’t take gifts, but occasionally I have to scan things that I take from people. You never know what a gift contains. It might kill him, or it might make him sick. ****. The possible consequences of people finding out where Salah is, according to Abdou, required that he be kept a “ghost” in public. “He’s a ghost; he cannot be seen,” he went on.
There was a WhatsApp group where someone posted that “Mo Salah lives in that address” after he was followed and his residence was unknown. “After five minutes, about 20,000 people arrived at his house. ****. When Liverpool won the Champions League in 2019 and Salah went back home to celebrate Eid, he saw the player garner the most attention Since he just won the Champions League, everyone wants to take pictures with him, even though he was meant to go pray in the street with everyone,” Abdou continued.
The bodyguard revealed even more about Salah’s level of popularity in Egypt. “People write on paper and give it to him because they think he’s going to solve all their problems,” he stated. “He has paid countless millions of dollars for sick people. For the city, he purchases ambulances. He provided financial assistance to those in need so they could pay their bills, get married, or get surgery. ****.
