But thus far, it seems as though Jurgen Klopp’s team made the right choice. Szoboszlai has adapted to the Premier League like a duck to water, and his athleticism and physicality have given the team’s midfield new life. Szoboszlai’s stats don’t really add up, and that’s the only minor complaint you could make. In 11 appearances so far, the 22-year-old has 2 goals and 0 assists to his credit. Only Havertz, who was harshly criticized for his slow start at Arsenal, has more involvement in goals than that. Szoboszlai’s presence on the ball is one of the main distinctions between him and Havertz.
Havertz, on the other hand, has found it difficult to stand out in his role as a No. 8, Szoboszlai enjoys his position and makes lung-bursting forward runs while launching fierce long-range shots. According to Bent, he “makes things happen,” so it makes sense to assume that goals and assists will soon follow.
