Harvey Elliott has kept his spot despite Jurgen Klopp making six changes to his Liverpool team to face Brighton because he has been dubbed a “super player.”

Because of the short preparation period and short turnaround, Klopp had previously planned to make a number of substitutions between the two games.
Elliott’s selection over Wataru Endo, who was substituted at halftime in a midweek match in what the manager described as a scheduled substitution, caught everyone off guard.
Along with Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah, and Darwin Nunez, the 20-year-old has held his spot, and Klopp has given an explanation for why: He hasn’t, in my opinion, recently overplayed. He appeared a few times, participated in games, shown some rhythm, and is an excellent player.
“So that’s what led to that choice.
Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota, and Curtis Jones are among the seven players who are missing, leaving Klopp with less options at the AMEX.
