Chris Sutton, a pundit, commended Mohamed Salah of Liverpool, noting that the Egyptian international is having a fantastic season.
Sutton was previewing Sunday’s match between the Reds and Brighton & Hove Albion on BBC Sport. Liverpool defeated Union SG on Friday in the Europa League.
However, the VAR against Tottenham Hotspur last week prevented them from continuing their recent winning streak. However, Liverpool will be hoping to resume their winning ways in the top division after the international break.
Mohamed Salah has maintained his strong performance throughout the current season. He has already tallied four goals and four assists this year.
Sutton complimented the Egyptian player and predicted an easy win for the Reds on the South coast. On Sunday, he picked the Reds to win 3:2 away from home.
The pundit remarked:
“Brighton conceded six goals the previous week, and I believe Liverpool will be able to attack them down the flanks.
“Mohamed Salah appears to be in excellent form right now, but if the Reds lose this match, I suppose they’ll request a replay, won’t they
“I like Reds manager Jurgen Klopp, but if it happened, football would become a complete farce. Everybody would demand a repeat of every game if a disputed decision had been made that they disagreed with.
Naturally, they were unfortunate against Tottenham, and it was a terrible choice to overturn Luis Diaz’s goal.
But Liverpool must also bear some of the blame for Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota’s red cards; I find it puzzling that they decided to contest Jones’ dismissal.
We’re still waiting to see how this season’s exposure to European football will influence the Seagulls, who played in Marseille on Thursday.
