Cody Gakpo and Thiago Alcantara’s injuries have been updated by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp ahead of the Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Merseyside team had a perfect record in the Premier League up until last Saturday, when they lost 2-1 at Tottenham Hotspur. They were unfortunate to have had a clear goal disallowed by VAR.
Now that they are playing the Seagulls on the road, Klopp has announced that Gakpo will miss the match due to a knee injury sustained against Spurs last weekend.
Gakpo’s knee brace has been taken off, and Klopp thinks he might play again after the international break. Thiago, who recently experienced another setback in his recovery, is anticipated to experience the same thing.
The Spaniard had surgery for a hip ailment last season, but he is still recovering somewhat. He has experienced two setbacks, therefore it might take him longer to make his debut this term.
