Liverpool is about to “hit the jackpot” with a £35 million deal thanks to Lionel Messi.
According to a football finance specialist, Lionel Messi’s influence in the MLS might significantly increase Liverpool’s financial performance.
The owners of Liverpool, Fenway Sports Group, inked three new sponsorship agreements with American companies this summer. In fact, the club’s portfolio now includes UPS, Peloton, and Google Pixel.
According to Football Insider, the triple deal will increase Liverpool’s commercial earnings by an additional £35 million annually. In their most recent 2021/22 reports, the Reds reported a commercial revenue of £247 million, although that sum is expected to rise sharply.
More specifically, according to financial expert Kieran Maguire, Messi’s move to Inter Miami has contributed to a rise in football interest in the US, which will benefit Liverpool.
