Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, a former midfielder for Liverpool, signed with Besiktas in Turkey earlier this summer on a free transfer.
A transfer to Turkey would be ideal for the 30-year-old midfielder who needed to leave Liverpool in order to find regular football.
At Anfield, Chamberlain had trouble getting regular playing time, but so far at Besiktas, he has had plenty of first-team opportunities. The midfielder managed to score the game-winning goal for his team against Kayserispor yesterday after playing 166 minutes of first-team action in three league games so far.
In the second half, Chamberlain performed well to score what turned out to be the game-winning goal from close range.
The former Liverpool midfielder will be happy to restart his career and will strive to capitalize on his promising start to life in Turkey by maintaining a regular starting position for Besiktas. In the upcoming months, he will also try to overcome his injury problems so that he can play more frequently.
