After serving his two-match ban following his red card at Newcastle last month, Virgil van Dijk was back in a Premier League starting lineup for Liverpool today. His joy could be seen as he exited the field at Anfield.
The skipper contributed to the Reds’ sixth straight victory in all competitions as they defeated West Ham 3-1 to go up to second in the standings after the North London Derby ended 2-2.

Following the final whistle this afternoon, a brief video of the Dutchman entering the tunnel was posted on LFC’s official social media accounts. The 32-year-old turned toward the camera after spotting it and exclaimed, “Let’s go!” with a look of intense passion.
It doesn’t take a master detective to figure out that Van Dijk was happy after Liverpool’s most recent triumph, and it’s wonderful to have the captain back in domestic play once more!
