The two former Liverpool players faced battle against each other on Friday night as their new clubs competed in the Saudi Professional League.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Anderson Talisca scored goals to give Al Nassr a 4-3 victory. For Al Ahli, goals were scored by Franck Kessie, Riyad Mahrez, and Firas Al Birakan.
Mane was captured on camera comically climbing on Firmino’s back following one of Al Nassr’s goals. The video is available to view below.
As his teammates cheered, the Senegal international leaped on Firmino. Firmino looked back to see who it was before continuing to run. Mane then made his way over to his exuberant teammates.
Mane and Firmino had a significant impact on Liverpool’s recent success under Jurgen Klopp before to their transfers to Saudi Arabia.
They won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and FA Community Shield when they were at Anfield.
Mane was quick to pay respects following Firmino’s departure this summer.
“I think we accomplished amazing things together,” he stated. I’m really appreciative. Bobby, in my opinion, is a unique player. Wow, what a nine in my opinion. I consider him to be the most upbeat individual.
Because he sometimes recognizes me while I’m not playing, for example, on the bench, I learnt a lot from him. He advises me to maintain my composure because he is aware of my personality. This kind of person is hard to come by, and he taught me a lot both within and outside of the pitch.
He can turn with the ball effortlessly, and instead of always playing the backpass, Mane continued, “He always looks for options. I believe he altered everything.
