Prior to their return to action after the international break, Liverpool were put through their paces at the AXA Training Center yesterday.
Ibrahima Konate was sighted in the training, which suggests he will be fit to play after missing the last two games, as the Reds travel to Wolves tomorrow (12.30 BST).
The South American foursome of Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Alexis MacAllister, and Alisson Becker for Liverpool, on the other hand, was not participating. Intriguingly, Ederson of Manchester City started both of Brazil’s games in place of goalkeeper Alisson.
Kornel Misciur, a 16-year-old goalkeeper, volunteered to train with the first squad while Alisson was away. He joined from Hull City in March and has already played twice for the under-18s. Prior to the Wolves match, goalkeeping coach John Achterberg put Misciur through his paces alongside Caoimhin Kelleher, Adrian, Marcelo Pitaluga, Fabian Mrozek, and Vitezslav Jaros.
Calum Scanlon and James McConnell were two more young people who were seen. Both were planned for throughout the preseason, with Klopp calling the latter a “joy to watch.” The first team’s regulars Ben Doak, Stefan Bajcetic, and Jarell Quansah were also engaged.
