Andy Robertson’s quick response after his error against England perfectly captures the Liverpool defender

After costing his team a goal against England at Hampden Park, Andy Robertson claims he immediately apologized to his teammates before striving to have a positive impact in the second half of the match.

A Phil Foden goal had put Steve Clarke’s team down 1-0 when a Robertson slip further damaged the visitors. When he failed to clear his lines, Jude Bellingham received the ball directly barely 12 yards from goal, doubling England’s lead.

Robertson, a defender for Liverpool, doesn’t commit many errors, but his response shows that this one, which occurred while he was leading his country, obviously hurt. But the former Hull resident proved that he is not the type to run away after making such a mistake.

According to Robertson, “The second goal is entirely my fault,” beIN SPORTS. Naturally, it can’t happen, but you take it in stride and try to respond, and in the second half, we managed to get back in the game.

“I hate letting this team down, and that’s what I felt I did today,” he continued. “I hate giving up goals, but it was simply that I wasn’t exactly expecting the ball to come to me. It just fell to him, and when you’re up against Bellingham in his current form, he won’t let you get away with it.

I was forced to apologize to the boss and the team. I did that and merely attempted to respond positively in the second half, thinking I had succeeded, but tonight I will undoubtedly be cursing myself.

Robertson apologized verbally and also made an effort to make up for it on the field. And for club and country, he’ll want to demonstrate that he can build on this.

On Saturday, Liverpool will travel to Wolves to resume their Premier League campaign. This will be followed by their Europa League debut against LASK. However, Scotland will be playing with a lot on the line during the October international break.
