Adrian has been omitted from Liverpool’s 23-man roster for the Europa League group stages this year.
Prior to the tournament’s opening round of matches the following week, UEFA announced the Reds’ squad list on their website, with the veteran goalkeeper an expected absence due to Liverpool’s summer transfers.
The ‘List B’ players for Liverpool must be confirmed by 24:00 CET the day before a game. On Thursday, September 21, the Reds’ Europa League campaign will get underway away at LASK Linz.
Due to this, Paul Glatzel will be the only other contracted player who is ineligible to play in Europe for the first half of the season, leaving Adrian as the only senior player to miss out. Additionally, the inclusion of Doak and Clark on the list provided by UEFA supports the notion that Klopp will rotate his team throughout the Europa League group stages and give some of his peripheral players playing time.
If Liverpool advances to the knockout rounds of the Europa League or is relegated to the Europa Conference League, they may add up to three new players to their roster.

Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota, and Ben Doak are among the forwards.
Senior players Adrian and Paul Glatzel are ineligible.
Harvey Elliott, Stefan Bajcetic, Marcelo Pitaluga, Calum Scanlon, Kaide Gordon, Isaac Mabaya, James McConnell, Lewis Koumas, Jarell Quansah, Conor Bradley, Harvey Blair, Oakley Cannonier, Luke Chambers, Mateusz Musialowski, and Melkamu Frauendorf are all potential List B players who could qualify.
