Liverpool will be looking to build on a quietly strong start to the season when they return from the international break.
After four games of the season, six Premier League teams are unblemished, including the Reds. Even though Ibrahima Konate was out injured and Virgil van Dijk was suspended for the final of those games, they defeated Aston Villa with a score of 3-0.
Marco Verratti appeared to be the answer to Liverpool’s midfield woes earlier in the summer. Although the Italian national team player was unpopular at Paris Saint-Germain, Jurgen Klopp eventually focused his attention elsewhere.
However, the former Pescara midfielder is now one of two PSG stars traveling to Qatar, according to L’Equipe (via Get French Football News). Julian Draxler will be sold by the French club to Al-Ahli, and he will join Al-Arabi.
Verratti made his 400th appearance for PSG past season after joining the team in 2012. Draxler, a German international who spent last season on loan at Benfica, was connected with Crystal Palace earlier this summer, but he decided against working with Roy Hodgson, the former manager of Liverpool.
