By the start of the upcoming season, the Egypt international will be 32 years old and may no longer be at the height of his abilities, casting some question on his long-term future with Liverpool.
The Athletic has looked at how LFC could replace Salah after he was extensively connected with clubs in Saudi Arabia toward the end of the summer.
The Paris Saint-Germain superstar Mbappe is mentioned in The Athletic’s article as someone who might be a bit of a dream option, albeit one that is a little more possible if there is money to spend and room on the wage bill from moving Salah.
It is also accepted that Real Madrid would undoubtedly remain Mbappe’s top choice if he were to leave PSG.
Liverpool would do well to bring in a big player of that caliber, but even if the funds are available, it’s unlikely that would happen.
The Athletic also considers Jarrod Bowen and Bukayo Saka as potential attackers for the Reds.
