Dirk Kuyt, a former Liverpool player, has hailed summer signing Ryan Gravenberch and expressed the hope that the teenager will regain the form that made him so well-liked at Ajax.
On the final day of the transfer window, Liverpool officially announced the signing of Gravenberch, who became their fourth midfield addition.
This summer, Wataru Endo, Dominik Szobozlai, and Alexis MacAllister all moved in to fill the void left by James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Fabinho’s departures.
The 21-year-old has a solid reputation as one of the top young midfielders in Europe after making his debut for the Ajax first team as an 18-year-old under Erik ten Hag.
He was signed by Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022 as a result, but the move did not work out as he only made three league starts. Kuyt is betting on the Dutch international to regain his form while wearing a Liverpool jersey.
He’s a highly cerebral player, first and foremost,” Kuyt, a cult figure in Liverpool, told BettingSites. “He was amazing at Ajax. At a very young age, he was always able to play at a very high level. Then, he advanced at Bayern Munich, which made me very happy since it showed he could compete with the finest players in Europe.
