According to a frightening claim out of Spain, the Reds were willing to part ways with Darwin Nunez in order to entice Joao Felix away from Atletico Madrid.

Many teams, including Manchester United, Aston Villa, and Al-Hilal of the Saudi Pro League, made bids to hire him.
Liverpool, on the other side, proposed a trade involving Darwin Nunez. Felix, however, declined each offer in order to complete his dream loan to Barcelona.
The 23-year-old made significant sacrifices to sign with the Nou Camp team, according to the Catalan news source.
He agreed to a two-year (2029) extension of his contract with the Colchoneros, who value him at £86 million (AS). He also agreed to a wage cut of 50%.
In all respect, the story is untrue because Nunez was given the coveted No. 9 jersey by Liverpool because they believe in his future with the team.
The Uruguayan international, who alternated between the starting XI and the bench last season, merits his chance and is already adjusting nicely.
He struck a world-class brace against Newcastle United last month after being brought in as a substitute and with 10 men on the field.
The South American also won the corner that resulted in the game’s first goal and directly assisted in the other two goals against Villa last weekend in his season debut.
