The first Goal of the Month award of the Premier League season has been nominated for Luis Diaz’s creative goal against Bournemouth.
Fans may now vote for Diaz, who is one of eight people on the shortlist for the honor for August.
With goals in the Reds’ opening two games of the 2023–24 season against Chelsea and Bournemouth, Liverpool’s new number seven has had a strong start.
The latter effort, in which Diaz set himself up for an acrobatic volley following a feed from Diogo Jota, earned him a spot on the Premier League’s list.
“The winner will be determined by the fans’ votes in conjunction with the selections made by a group of experts, and will be revealed next week.
