After signing a loan agreement with Nottingham Forest on the final day of the transfer window, Liverpool cult legend Divock Origi has made his way back to the Premier League [via Fabrizio Romano on Twitter].
It is unknown whether the Tricky Trees will activate the option to buy clause in his Forest contract, which is worth about £3.8 million. Additionally, they will pay his whole AC Milan salary during his time at the City Ground.

Liverpool has basically gone past the Belgian international at this point, despite how adored he is. Although he may be useful off the bench, his style of play would not be compatible with theirs for the full 90 minutes.
A forward who can drop deep to receive the ball, help set up play, and be a constant goal threat is necessary for Jurgen Klopp’s system. Origi excels at playing off the last man’s shoulder, but his general play and technical prowess are very lacking.

Although it is unlikely that his influence would go beyond this, if he were to ever return to Liverpool, it would be a well-received acquisition that most likely would boost shirt sales.
Why has Origi developed such a following at Anfield?
During his time at Liverpool, Origi wasn’t the most prolific goal scorer, but he did have a knack for big goals in big games.
Perhaps the most well-known was his brace against Barcelona, which, together with Georginio Wijnaldum, helped the Reds rally from a 3-0 first-leg deficit to win the Champions League semifinal.
He later scored the game-winning goal in that season’s Champions League final. In the tournament’s final match, Liverpool faced Spurs. In a routine but nonetheless historic match, Liverpool triumphed by a score of 2-0.
