Joao Felix appears to be Mohamed Salah’s replacement if the Egyptian winger decides to leave for Saudi Arabia, according to Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool.
Many prominent athletes have switched to Saudi Arabia from some of the top leagues in Europe, not because of the country’s fierce competition or rich history, but rather because of the enormous salaries offered to players like Karim Benzema, Neymar, and Roberto Firmino.
Salah, one of the finest Premier League wingers ever to grace those shores, is now being sought after by Saudi Arabia and Al-Ittihad, and the Egyptian is apparently eager to complete the transfer in the coming days.
Saudi Arabia’s transfer window doesn’t close until mid-September, so players could still leave for the Middle East after the English window closes on September 1. If Salah left without being replaced right away, Klopp and Liverpool would be concerned about their chances of finishing in the top four.
Salah appears to be as dedicated to Liverpool as ever despite all of the persistent rumors and links, and Klopp is in no position to bench his star player in the midst of transfer rumors given that he started against Newcastle United on Sunday and assisted Darwin Nunez for their game-winning goal.
Salah is determined about moving to Saudi Arabia, therefore if money starts to speak and Liverpool agrees to a high transfer cost, it appears that they will move quickly to sign a replacement for him for £113 million. Klopp reportedly has Felix on his radar.
